Connection to database takes to long

Hi, i am building an Express API for my app but connection takes to long (it wasn't that long before), MongoDB compass connects instantly (I am using localhost mongodb on Arch), also when i send a post request that should create a user it throws an error:

I tried to flush my DNS but it didn't help.

What versions of MongoDB and Mongoose are you using? And can you check if you get any errors in your mongoose.connect() callback, and can you check whether the app.listen() callback is actually getting called?

I'd also strongly encourage you to avoid using bcrypt.hashSync() with that many rounds. You'll be blocking the Node process for quite some time.

I already found a solution. Turns out that for some reason mongoose wasn't able to connect to the server with 'localhost' as ip, i had to use 127.0.0.1.
