Desktop application for correcting translations

Suppose that somebody spots a wrong translation in a desktop application, and he would like to correct or improve this translation. He clicks on it with the middle button of the mouse (or Shift + Left Click, or some other "hot" key-combination). This will fire up the application for correcting translations, which will get the text on the region (widget) that was clicked, will search for it, and will provide the user with the original English string and with the available translation(s).

The search will be done on a central database of strings and translations, and it may return more than one translations for the string. The application will present these strings and translations to the user and he will be able to select which translation seems better to him. He can also add a new translation if none of the existing translations is suitable (or if there is no translation at all).

The translation change made by the user will be applied locally, so that the user can check how it looks on the desktop application that he is correcting. But it will also be submitted to the central database/server. The central server of the translations will forward the feedback collected from the users to the translators of that desktop application in a condensed format that is easy to check and apply. It is up to the translators to decide whether to apply permanently a suggested modification or to discard it.

B-Translator can play the role of the central translation server/database. It also has a REST API for being integrated with external applications. However the desktop application that collects the feedback from the users and submits it to B-Translator needs to be built.
