Tonex plug compatibility ?

Hi!
I think everyone saw the tonex plug announcement! I'm glad that we'll be able to tweak the captures from my smartphone and without a computer.
However, there is no information about the possibility of using midi or a wireless switch. It seems that the plug use the same technologies as the other pedals (= usb edit). If it's feasible, could this project be adapted for the plug ? I really want to be able to use midi on the plug like my tonex one.Thanks !
