FEATURE REQUEST: Choose Default Currency

All my gift cards are in Dollars, but every time I add a gift card I need to choose it from the dropdown menu (since the default is in "Points").
Would be great if it could remember the last currency used, or an option to choose default. Thanks!!

Given #2972 was closed last month without any response I guess nobody is working on this currently.
