Persistent Hi-scores for Hypseus-Singe

Do you plan to integrate a feature to save Hi-scores in a persistent manner?

This is a game dependant issue.

Some Daphne games^* save persistent data, including scores, into the hypseus 'ram' sub-directory.
Most Singe games write to the save.cfg^**  file in the game directory and display a High Score table when in attract mode.

I don't know if it's expected, but in Time Gal, the hi-scores are not saved to:

hypseus/singe/timegal/timegal.cfg

The file never gets updated, when I make a score and write my initials in the hi-scores table...

Unfortunately, the original 'timegal' is an old game, also encoded with LUA bytecode, so the LUA source is obfuscated.

You could try the newer 'timegal-hd', ported from Singe 2 - This game does save High Score states in 'save.cfg'

And what about Super Don Quix-Ote? This game does not save any hi-scores...

If the Daphne game doesn't save it, then the original arcade hardware probably didn't have the ability at power off.
Or Matt was unable to code it, so I'm afraid not.....

There is a Singe 2 version of Super Don Quix-Ote, but I'm not certain of the state of that game and it currently hasn't been ported to Hypseus....

Being curious after your last comment, I took a look at the Singe 1 version of 'TimeGal' in the repository again.

It appears the version there, does in fact store the High Score in the timegal.cfg file:

I tested this and High Score is retained.

I am not certain what version you have there, but this version reports itself as: Time Gal Singe v1.1

You should be able to use your timegal.m2v and timegal.ogg files with the the data from this repo directory:

Unless you have a version of video I have not encountered previously, this should work......
