No solid documantaion where help images are stored

When creating your own image by Inkscape,
it says it is saved in the layouts folder ... but where?

Please point to where the documentation is lacking. Which page, which section?

Images are saved in the folder of the current layout. Beware though, that depending on your Efficiency settings the image generator may not be allowed to overwrite existing images. Read the descriptions in the image generator windows closely.
