What they call "volunteer and Technical Communities" are something that deserve be listed here. Most of these groups would be very welcome to developers.
At same time, maybe some orgs who do HFOSS are more near the "formal" part of this diagram and then could not know how to handle the questions of what type of tasks a outside expert could help.
This thinking of "formal" & V&TCs could be used as base to rethink how to explain things on this repositpory
