Proposal

Add a "Download All" button to allow users to download the structured output of the clipboard inspector as a ZIP archive. This ZIP can then be sent to others.

Context

Sometimes I ask users to inspect their clipboard in order to debug copy & paste misbehaviours. Depending on the data copied and its length, I get back screenshots, parts of the data, and so on. This is frustrating for users and me.

Thank you for the proposal and corresponding PR. It would indeed be useful to be able to exchange clipboard data with users for debugging purposes.

I would like to solve this problem with a JSON-based file format that holds plain-text and binary data similarly to the HAR format used in browser dev tools. A file in this format, using for example the extension .clipboard, could be exported and imported back into Clipboard Inspector.

This would allow us to capture the clipboard state with more precision, and can be implemented with native web APIs rather than requiring an archive library. One of our goals is to simplify the dependencies and possibly bundle it as a dev tool extensions (#8).

Like with HAR files, binary files are base64-encoded (and marked with encoding: 'base64'). If the plan sounds good to you, we can attempt to define the data format.
