Checks

  • I have checked that this issue has not already been reported.

  • I am using the latest version of Flow Launcher.

  • I am using the prerelease version of Flow Launcher.

Problem Description

I've been having this issue for a few months and ignore it, but it's been getting really annoying. I can't seem to find anyone else out there with this issue. EVERY TIME I use flow launcher to find the containing folder of a file, I get a popup with the error message "An error occurred while opening the folder. Failed to open folder and select item". The folder is always opened, there is never an issue, but I get the error regardless.

I can't remember what version this started happening, but I do know that this issue did not happen about a year ago and before that.

I'm on Windows 10 and use the QTTabBar extension for file explorer if that has anything to do with it.

EDIT:
Just did some testing. I downgraded to v1.18.0 and cleared my roaming appdata folder. The issue goes away. Enabling auto-update and updating to the newest version causes the issue to come back, even with brand new settings.

v1.19.5 is also working completely fine. Seems to be an issue with v1.20 and onward. I'll be using v19.5 for the foreseeable future. It works fine for me and I'm not missing any features from the latest version. I'd really like to see this fixed so I can get new updates though
