As documented here, the default velocity to filter cutoff modulator is actively disabled, due to its inconsistent definition in the spec. It's unclear to me what exactly you mean by "Velocity to Attack" and "etc". I would need a Soundfont and ideally a MIDI file as well to test and reproduce this behavior, and then we can see how to address this. |

It seems that my definitions that I made in Polyphone are ignored by fluidsynth. Is there any plans to implement that? That would be very nice to have. It gives very much realism to sounds and uses less samples.
WHY do we need that -
Example: A guitar like most natural instruments produce less overtones when played softly, so, mapping from velocity to filter cutoff frequency does the trick. No need to create multiple samples for velocity zones.
As well, increasing the attack between 20 ms for low velocity and 0 ms for hard velocity takes away the hard string attack for softer notes. It feels way more natural less robot like.
