Where to download ExtData

Where can external users download the ExtData/chemistry/ input files needed to run GOCART outside of NCCS? Thanks.

@zhanglikate This is a...big ask. Do you know what files you need? I think at some point @weiyuan-jiang or @bena-nasa might have copied files to NOAA machines. (Maybe it was @rmontuoro ?)

Yes. We have most of the ExtData, while after checking out the most recent version of March 9, it looks like there are some updates in the GMI input data, so I am trying to see where I can get these updated input data. Thanks.

I am still checking how many files that we need to update, other than the GMI file, the optical files are also updated, such as
aerosol_radBands_optics_file: ExtData/optics/opticsBands_SU.v1_6.RRTMG.nc
aerosol_monochromatic_optics_file: ExtData/monochromatic/optics_SU.v1_6.nc

Do yo have this one which has been updated in your yaml file:

Those are hooks that are only relevant for a case of running GOCART2G coupled with the GMI full strat/trop chemistry mechanism. There is no relevant input file (hence the /dev/null…it prevents the code from crashing if the switched is turned on but you aren’t running GMI; it pertains to passing fields between the two components).
