Now that VK_EXT_device_generated_commands have been released as a proper cross vendor extension, instead of the NV only version, I hope you will consider implementing it for usage with vkd3d-proton.

We are looking at using this extension too. We'd like the flexibility of switching shaders in execution sets and switching pipelines between execution sets.
Edit: in our case, it would be for our game, not as a part of proton.
