Define the word derivation #38
Comments
@Gabriel439 I am now wondering what the best way of commenting on this tutorial is. Any ideas? |
@idontgetoutmuch the term derivation is coming straight from I believe it is quite ok for this project to assume the reader has some prior notion of nix ;-) |
@PierreR then it should say so but I disagree as I think with a little bit of effort this could go from being a good tutorial to being a great tutorial |
@idontgetoutmuch Sure, I would propose what you have in mind with a Pull Request. Such guide can improve a lot with the contributions of different authors with different levels of expertise. |
@PierreR Here's a start: https://github.com/Gabriel439/haskell-nix/pull/39/files |
Here are two Stackoverflow threads that may help: I wrote answers to both of them, and would gladly turn them into community wiki's if others would like to help making them more beginner friendly. |
You use the word derivation without actually saying what one is.
