<h2>ABOUT</h2>
<p>
I'm a seasoned developer primarily focused on using C# and ASP .NET to create efficient microservice integrations. In addition, I have a strong background in web applications, legacy applications based on VB .NET and Classic ASP.
</p>
<p>
After having an opportunity with an amazing Vancouver retailer, I gained great insight in handling large-scale data, database design, stored procedures, and SSRS and SSIS packages.
</p>
<p>
Right now, I'm enjoying the west coast life in beautiful Vancouver, BC. However, I do reminisce about the sun and mountains of the Rockies in Alberta. When I'm not coding or playing with tech gadgets, I enjoy hiking, playing soccer, snowboarding and dodgeball.

<h2>WORK EXPERIENCE</h2>
<h3><b>SOFTWARE ENGINEER</b></h3>
<p>
Coupa Software | 12/2021 - 06/2023
</p>
<p>
Working in the Coupa treasury payments space, contribute to supporting applications responsible for facilitating the transformation of payments into bank compliant formats, while also managing additional applications involved in the secure sending and receiving of bank payment responses. My work also involved collaborating with international cross-functional teams to define and prioritize requirements, as well as writing and testing code to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
</p>
<ul>
<li>In a code walkthrough session with my manager, we identified a critical flaw in an endpoint designed for processing bank file payloads. This discovery occurred just prior to a planned release and had the potential to adversely affect thousands of customers.</li>
<li>Successfully transitioned to a new EBICS e-banking provider within 3 months, making changes to multiple web applications and Windows services. Overcame challenges including Entity Framework migrations, incomplete services, limited bank sandboxes and End-To-End testing.</li>
<li>Played a key role in implementing security and controls for monitoring payments, with a focus on preventing and identifying fraudulent transactions.</li>
<li>Improved Octopus CI/CD pipelines using PowerShell scripting and Amazon Web Service (AWS) APIs, such as end-point health checks, decreased deployment times by 7% and managing tenant secrets.</li>
<li>Supported direct bank integrations by creating compliant bank XML payloads (8 out of 56) which involved working with subject-matter experts, reviewing banking specs, testing with Postman and Docker containers.</li>
<li>Supported changes to Classic ASP web pages, creation of new endpoints and existing web infrastructure.</li>
</ul>
<h3><b>SOFTWARE DEVELOPER 2</b></h3>

</p>
<p>
As a member of an agile team responsible for maintaining and enhancing our ERP ecosystem, worked on key projects involving integrations with third-party providers such as Centric Software (PLM) and SPS Commerce (EDI). Additionally, I played a role in maintaining our employee ASP .NET staff/corporate purchase web portal to apply new functionality and improve usability for users.
</p>
<ul>
<li>Contributed to a company-wide transition from a custom ERP to SAP, managing Gross Revenue over $500 million. Developed C# microservices integrated with RabbitMQ and MySQL, resulting in a successful overhaul of complex stored procedures and migration of legacy functionality to the new microservice architecture.</li>
<li>In 3 months, delivering functionality on a very tight deadline, met Canadian and US taxation reporting requirements. Worked closely with customs and finance teams to breakdown business requirements.</li>
<li>Delivered complex transformations ahead of schedule, using SSRS packages to load product line data from our ERP to a PLM system. Optimized and scrubbed private customer data, streamlined workflows, resulting in decreased loading times by 50%</li>
<li>Transformed 20,000 SKUs of our product season catalog into JSON and utilized Magento Software's REST API's to handle batch payloads. Modified our ERP to trigger catalog updates and established 3 endpoints for capturing, transmitting and archiving JSON data.</li>
<li>Improved the employee E-Commerce/B2B web portal through the implementation of essential enhancements, including validation improvements, image optimizations and maintenance feature updates.</li>
