Summary

The "Download Full Announcement (NOFO)" button is a button element.

Button elements do not have the same behavior as links, which upon right-click allow the user to do things like:

  • Open the document in a new tab/window
  • "Save as" with a particular name in a specified location on your hard drive
  • Copy the link's address

This makes the button at the top behave differently than the link in the "Documents" section.

When you right-click the button:

When you right click the link:

Here are a couple examples of opportunities with NOFO buttons:

We should explore using a link and styling it as a button. This might be a low-lift quick fix.

Note: We have also discussed changing the UX for downloading NOFOs so that 1) we do not use the term "NOFO", 2) we do not infer that a the existence of a single file means it's a NOFO, and 3) so that the UI is consistent regardless of the number of downloads the opportunity has. There may already be a separate Issue for this that will make this Issue moot.

Acceptance criteria

  • User can right-click the NOFO download button and see a "Save Link As…" option
