DigiByte Core

Setup

DigiByte Core is the original DigiByte client and it builds the backbone of the network. It downloads and, by default, stores the entire history of DigiByte transactions, which requires a few hundred gigabytes of disk space. Depending on the speed of your computer and network connection, the synchronization process can take anywhere from a few hours to a day or more.

To download DigiByte Core, visit digibyte.org.

Running

The following are some helpful notes on how to run DigiByte Core on your native platform.

Unix

Unpack the files into a directory and run:

• bin/digibyte-qt (GUI) or
• bin/digibyted (headless)

Windows

Unpack the files into a directory, and then run digibyte-qt.exe.

macOS

Drag DigiByte Core to your applications folder, and then run DigiByte Core.
