Steam is stuck on "Checking for available updates" after install

Hello!

I'm tring to instal steam on box64 but after the initial instalation steam just stuck on updates checking. Is it a known issue? Any way to force it to work?

Device: Samsung galaxy s23
Container: Proot
Wine: 8.2

I have almost the same issue, cuz i installed and and I even managed to get past the "Steam update" screen, but Steam window does not appear after that.

Normal Steam currently doesn't work on Box86/Box64, so I can't help you, however you can use a modified version of Steam, there you can see your list of games and install them normally, but you can't browse the store, in short, You can only use Steam in small picture mode
