Always launch with "Show Hidden" disabled

Problem description

I think that "Show Hidden" should only be a runtime config and should be reset after closing. Sometimes the user might forget to untoggle.

Feature description

Don't store the "Show hidden" state or ignore it on launch.

I think it's more annoying for users to have to toggle that every time they open heroic than for the users that forget to disable that to do that when they notice.

We can't solve things for some people that may forget about a setting they had to manually set by making the experience worse for the rest that want it configured in a persistent way.

If the user has to "toggle that every time" then it doesn't even make sense to hide the games in the first place. The user hides games because either they don't want to see them (e.g. they completed them) or they don't want others to see them (e.g. when playing locally with friends). This is about ensuring that your hidden games don't get "leaked" just because you forgot to disable the setting (or Heroic crashed); think of it more like incognito mode.

I see what you mean, you want to always have the hidden games hidden when you open heroic (I understood that the other way before, so I was really confused).

I still think it's weird to change how that works, because it could make it confusing that it works different than the other filters, users might think it's broken if there's no clear indication that it will be reseted when you close heroic, and I can't imagine how to make it clear.

I think a middle ground here would be finding ways to make it more obvious that filters are applied, without making it too distracting for users that want them enabled all the time. Perhaps check how other launchers with filtering functionality implement this?

One idea might be to change the "All games" text in the top-left to "Games matching filters" if filters are applied

I can't imagine anyone wanting "Show Hidden" to be that way because if a game is always "not hidden", why hide it in the first place? The only 2 filters IMO that make sense to be permanently enabled/disabled are "Show Installed only" and "Show Favourites only" (so I guess that could be made into a switch). All the others should/could be runtime configs only.

and I can't imagine how to make it clear.

One idea is to make it a button (so it looks different compared to the filters) and call it "Private mode" or something.
