How to get access token for the APIM?

I wonder how can I get access token from the Azure Entra to access APIM.
I do able to get it via CLI:

az account get-access-token --resource api://companydomain.onmicrosoft.com/${apiName} --query "accessToken" -o tsv

I wonder how can I use $aadToken or $aadV2Token to get access token in the rest client script? I tried both but without success.
