Possible regression with previewing dynamic format clips

In the discord server, PingWer74 made an error report @ https://discord.com/channels/1168547111139283026/1227687943821594727/1331659517183918143.

After a bit of further digging, it seems the cause is that the returned clip is of a dynamic format.

They also reported this used to work before updating, indicating this is a regression.
