I ve noticed that if the application doesnt shut down cleanly it will create a background thread that is hard to control. The watchdog should handle server restarts better.

There is some kind of issue where the UTC date is offset compared to where it should be -- Ive noticed a lot of cameras will generate timestamps in the future.
