To bring a bit more life to the various ships in the game, we could add some radio chatter between ships. Stations will hail you, Pirates will taunt you, bounty-hunters will savour the kill.

There's a difficulty here in striking the balance between repetitive canned messages and immersive interaction. With some reworking of text storage (#18) and code we could hopefully include a large array of chatter and customise it slightly as with the planet descriptions.

Whilst fully randomly-generated NPC names would be good, it would consume a lot of space. We could begin with randomly-generated call-signs to start with.
