It isn't something that had come up on our radar since it wasn't a need so far, but it looks fairly simple to implement. I'll label this as an enhancement to add, but can't promise any kind of specific time frame right now. We are open to external submissions, so if you end up implementing it for your own use case and want to submit it back as a PR, we'd be glad to take a look at incorporating that.
