I will work on this with Ranee. Do you have a template for how you want the code structured? Also, what libraries will you be using for other parts of the code for comparability considerations. @markjessell I think for libraries we will stick to using geopandas, numpy, scipy etc. Avoid anything that is not already in the m2l dependencies. As for templates I think this would be a "sampler", so use the base class from https://github.com/Loop3D/map2loop/blob/master/map2loop/sampler.py. @noellehmcheng is working on the samplers/restructuring some of the code currently. She will be removing the "wildcard" mapdata argument from the call methods of the sampler and moving that into the constructor of the sampler.
