Meroxidizer (https://github.com/MerosCrypto/meroxidizer) has completely replaced this miner by providing a threaded and expandable codebase. This miner has been left alone as it still works, with an uncertain future. That said, nothing hooks into it, so it doesn't even have value from a research standpoint (the Meros tests have mining code in Python).
While another miner may be beneficial, Nim's GC makes it suboptimal, and C++ has immediate access to all of the libraries. That said, as an organization, we are moving to Rust more and more, which Meroxidizer is in.
Finally, with the new Meros RPC (MerosCrypto/Meros#279), this miner will finally break. It's really not worth the time to update it when it offers no advantages on performance or usability.
