The difficulty here would be that you'd have to use a unicode arrow and color the font instead. I'm not aware of a CSS that allows you to just overlay the color and keeping the alpha as transparent (color overlays whole block instead)

[Edit] There are CSS filter properties but none take RGB values directly

The idea is simply to recolor the spritesheet asset rather than trying to adjust it with CSS, it's a 3 minutes job or so, I might do it this week.
