The Remove-StorageTier cmdlet removes one or more storage tiers from a storage pool. You cannot remove storage tiers that are used by virtual disks.
PS C:\> Remove-StorageTier -FriendlyName "Standard_HDD_Tier"
This command removes the storage tier named Standard_HDD_Tier.
Runs the cmdlet as a background job. Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete.
