26a #178 and 26b #179 have clouds retuned via CLUBB parameter clubb_c8 to obtain RESTOM closer to 0. Inital look after nearly 30 years of SY is here: |

In Julio’s diag (icefrac over lab sea), 26a and 26b look no worse than 16 (I.e borderline but acceptable).
We need the assessment from the ocean people because we know the icefrac doesn’t give the full picture.

Is the lab sea state in 026a acceptable?
If no, than since 26b jumps to the lab sea state of 26a around year 35, does that indicate we maybe we went to hard on the cloud tunings? My understanding is that 26b starts from a warm and salty ocean state in the lab-sea, so if it still leads to problematic ice cover, than I think it means we overshot the mark.
But I don't want to get ahead of myself; the first question seems like the top priority.
