I see two issues.

1. It looks like the DB user that BASE is running as does not have ALTER privileges for the snort DB. This will break turning RI On and off via the configuration variable, as BASE needs to alter the table structure when the configuration changes. This definitely explains what is in the logs, but also brings us to the next issue.

2. The code appears to not detect RI, as it keeps trying to DROP then recreate the RI data structures, which of course fails because of the above privilege issue.

The concern is that once the privilege issue is fixed, will this failure to detect RI issue persist? Having BASE tear down, then rebuild the RI structure in the DB on every connection is absolutely a problem.

You mentioned that you have configured it at the DB level. Once you figure out the privilege issue, try setting the '$debug_mode' configuration variable to 3 and send over more logs.
