Problems with running via Proton

I am trying to run this randomiser on Linux (Fedora 40). When attempting to run the randomiser exe within the same prefix as The Witness (via Protontricks), the following error message is displayed:
Was able to access the Witness.exe, but couldn't find the base process address!
Is there any chance that I can get this working?

Which version of The Witness is this?

Tested versions (for Windows) are Steam, Humble and Epic. There shouldn't be a difference with Proton, so let's try to eliminate this possibility first
