Win10 Midi Status doens't work

I successfully established an OSC connection with TouchOSC (input activity shows up in the real-time graph)
but MIDI doesn't work. I tried a lot of ports with loopMIDI and nothing works.

Am I missing any obvious steps that aren't listed in the Wiki?

Btw I'm using Digital Performer with Mackie Control surface option if that makes any difference. I can confirm that DP sends MIDI out because loopMIDI shows activity in that Midi port.
