Planned for 3.0.alpha01

Each tag should preferably only include major updates from one component (e.g. include large code
changes from upstream repositories, large structural changes, new (default) model capability).
Minor component updates can be included in addition, if they do not change model output substantially.

Main objective: Update model infrastructure (CIME, ccs_config, share)

  • add new capability to have mediator auxiliary file for year multi-level ocean data from docn (parallel to what is obtained from lnd) for glc forcing
  • save lnd2glc and ocn2glc coupler history files by turning on histaux_l2x1yrg = .true. in user_nl_cpl (see Saving LND->GLC coupler history files in future NorESM runs as a default option CTSM#82 for more infos)
• CISM needs update
• CDEPS:
  • fix DLND to be able to read CMEPS yearly auxiliary files to force CISM ESCOMP Changes to dlnd to enable dlnd to work with mediator auxiliary file output for glc forcing CDEPS#10
  • update CDEPS to ESCOMP (update to escomp cdeps1.0.58 CDEPS#11)
