Rows of this SR matrix resemble hippocampal place cells, and its eigenvectors resemble periodic entorhinal representations such as grid cells (note this eigenvector is from a hexagonal, not a square, world). Looks a little different from other generated grid cells.

It remains unclear, however, whether hippocampal neurons could represent the vanishingly small differences in SR between (sometimes adjacent) states necessary for accurate reward-guided behavior.
