I have recently started adding suffixes to street names in Greater Manila. Previously, most street names omitted the suffix 'street', but other suffixes like 'avenue' or 'road' weren't omitted. This is mostly caused by street name signs themselves omitting 'street' mostly to save space, but if you ask any resident or business owner from that specific street, there is no doubt they will say that the full street name is 'Example Street' and not just 'Example'.
As of posting time, I have completed the adding of street suffixes to 99% (not 100% because I may have missed a couple of roads) of all named roads in Dasmariñas, Makati, Mandaluyong, Manila, Navotas, Obando, Pasay, Pateros, San Juan, and Silang.
If you want to help out, here are some other localities in Greater Manila that still need street names suffixed (only included are those part of Greater Manila with OSM boundary relations). Scroll down too for some notes and guidelines.

Not all roads require the suffix 'street' to be added. First and foremost, those roads with already existing suffixes do not need to be suffixed with 'street'. Here is a list of common suffixes or prefixes that do not need to be further suffixed with 'street'. Common abbreviations in brackets also need to be expanded to their full unabbreviated form.

Other notes:
Change 'Interior'/'Int.' to 'Interior Street' or 'Interior Road'.
'Extension'/'Ext.' should be removed if the road the contiguous, or–if there is an interruption in the route–continues after the interruption. (eg. New Panaderos Extension is contiguous to New Panaderos Street, so remove 'extension' from the name.)
If the main road and the extension road are parallel to each other, retain 'Extension' and add 'Street' so it becomes 'Extension Street' (not 'Street Extension').
Roads with numbers after the suffix are allowed (eg. Radial Road 10, Road 5, Alley 2, etc).
Cardinal directions (north, south, east, west) can either be used as a prefix or a suffix.
Some roads, particularly those named after one or more towns, barangays or sitios are more appropriately suffixed with 'road' instead of 'street'.
Roads named 'Tramo', which mostly sit on the former alignment of the now-defunct Manila tramway system, should be suffixed with 'Road' instead of 'Street'.
Some suffixes are attached to the street name, they do not need another suffix. (eg. Queensway)
'Block' is allowed to be a prefix of the block number if the road explicitly does not have a name.

ADDENDUM: Likewise, this will serve as a guidelines wherein both fixme=name and noname=yes have been previously added due to lack of proper local road naming that may pose issues for deliveries, logistics. Hence, proper street prefixes or suffixes must be followed as stated above.
