Filters are intended to be consistently applied to resource collections within the API. Currently filter types are not well defined nor discoverable.
The task here would be to define filter types within the API such that /api/filters would provide filters that arise from the data. For example /api/filters/species may exist because namespaces and evidence can be constrained by a species filter.
