I don't support this, it's a closed-ecosystem, essentially undiscoverable to the outside world and feels like a backroom. IMHO discussion are surely "good enough ™️", for most to participate but at least everyone to see.

@mfn I'm a bit confused by what you mean, there is no backroom, it's a public discord for anyone to join, and in terms of being undiscoverable, that's precisely why I am publicising it for everyone to discover here. In fact everything is undiscoverable until it is publicised, if you think about it.

Unless you join, you cannot discover any information shared on discord. Certainly not with any search engine. It's a walled garden.

I'm not sure what search engines have to do with it. All major open-source projects have a discord server (laravel, vuejs, nuxt, etc), it is a way to talk in real-time, and it is all public - everyone can join and participate. I don't really understand the point you are making.
