Adding slack bot branch #2
Comments
Hi @haleykahn14! I'd love to check out your modifications. Would you mind submitting a pull request from a fork of this repo instead of trying to create a branch in this one? I assume you already know about forks and creating pull requests from them but just in case you can read about them here:
Using forks helps because with them anyone can create a pull request against any open source repository without the creator/maintainer of it having to add everyone that wants to contribute :) |
Sorry, I stepped away from working on the slack bot for a bit. I would be happy to still create a pull request from a fork. I did however want to know where you host your leetcode bot. I've been trying to host mine with Heroku but running into some issues with it. |
No apologies necessary. I host my bot on a k8s server I rent from Linode, but you should be able to host it anywhere. Heroku is a decent choice and it shouldn't be a problem to run it on one of their basic dynos. What kind of issues are you running into? |
Closing as stale. |
Hi! I loved your code. I am just dipping my toes into making Slack bots, and I used your code to create a Slack bot to be used in a channel for one of my college clubs. I made some small modifications to simplify the code and make it usable for Slack. I would love to push this branch to your repo so it can be accessible for others, and so other similar organizations can use this bot!
