Google Docs: This browser version is no longer supported. Please upgrade to supported browser #475

Did you get the warning banner "Classic WebView is deprecated on macOS and no longer supported on iOS/iPadOS! The used SEB assessment solution integration/settings might no longer work and need to be updated to support the modern WebView." when you opened the web page?. If yes, then SEB is opening that web page in the completely outdated classic WebKit browser engine. If you can pinch-to-zoom a web page on the trackpad, then it is the modern WebView. You can also send log files to clarify that. Otherwise it's possible that Google doesn't support WebKit properly. Also the embedded WebKit WebView SEB has to use slightly differs from the one Safari is using. |

I saw in your screen shot that you have that warning disabled, so probably it was showing up. In the current SEB version 3.4.1 for macOS, if you use URL content filters, the classic WebView will be used regardless of other settings (as content filtering isn't implemented yet in the modern WebView yet). Maybe you can disable content filtering for now in case it works without. |

I was actually able to reproduce this warning with Google Docs even when SEB is using the modern WebView. As it happens with the current macOS version, it's not actually a problem with the browser version. Either Google is using some features which are only available in Safari and not in the embedded WebKit API WKWebView. Or they have a very bad browser version check which gets confused by the " SEB/" version string which SEB appends to the browser user agent string. I will do some experiments to find out what the reason is. Can you still work with Google Docs or are some important features not available when this warning is displayed? |

Thanks Daniel,
We're using it for now for google docs, but it would be great to find out
if the banner can be removed. So far, we haven't seen any issues working
in Google doc. Student's are writing their assessment essays.
Cheers!

Hi, testing SEB 3.4.1 on a M1 Macbook Air running 15.2.
When signing into Google drive and opening any Google docs, there's a banner stating the browser isn't supported. I'm not sure how to resolve this.
The default agent is Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/14.0.3 Safari/605.1.15
Thanks
