Textures appear white/incomplete on mobile #8

I'm guessing this is a problem with the meshes. As of the most recent updates, textures are still not appearing properly on mobile. |
This is related to a conversion issue with Blender. Minetest is lacking of supporting modern 3D model formats. I am using Blockbench to create the models, but Minetest is not supporting this program and its formats, so I have to convert the models to Blender in a complicated way. This results in texture issues, that can only be prevented by using shaders. |
I do have the same problem on the desktop, specifically on Ubuntu/Xubuntu running minetest 5.4.1 (system's deb package). The animals appear, but are all just white shapes. |
This problem should be fixed on pc version since 5.7.0. But I dont know if it is also fixed on mobile. I have installed the lastest version on my mobiel phone for testing and animalworld is not available in the content section, likely because of this issue. May you have installed it manually on your mobile phone? If yes, thats the issue. You should update your mobile minetest to 5.7.0 and try if it works now. |
The animals appear perfectly fine on desktop clients but on mobile the textures do not load. The mobile players in my server only see them as either white, black or only loading a few parts.
