Describe the bug
Video Downloads are not at "Best Quality" but rather 360p. Any override causes an error.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
(With a fresh install)
Go to desired video
Click on Download
See resolution in vidéo properties : 640x360

Expected behavior
Download at better quality (720p at least)

Setup:

Android version: 13
Is Your device rooted? No
Do You use Tor or any VPN service with your device? No
App source: Downloaded from GitHub / F-droid
App Version: 2.988 (and at least 2.987)
App Flavour: Extra/OSS

Additional context
If predefined resolutions are set, an error of "Cannot find any video streams within the requested xyz Resolution" is shown. If you leave them blank and set only 'Best Quality' it downloads as 360p

It's because those f-ers removed the 720p MP4 A/V, now there's only 360p with audio according to invidious (DL drop-down) and ST used this for DL's, instead of muxing on the device (AFAIK - I don't DL videos), the playback with the "old" format is also 360p max, there's not even 480p, IDK about the "new format" (aka. Dash/HLS), which was always slow to play, so older systems are stuck with 360p, until there's none. I hope it backfires at G. and blows in their faces.

I suppose that means the player setting "official" : Using extra 2.988 w/ official and working official YT installed and working it tells me - when I tap on a video - roughly from german: "the official YT player could not be started . Make sure it is installed!" A13 Fairphone4 - edit: but may be that leads into a different story. YT version installed: 19.26.37

To make the matters worse, now without using the 'new format' (dash) option many/lots of videos can't play at all, like from whole channels, such as LinusTechTips, MKBHD, MrWhoseTheBoss, etc., those not from these channels that play are barely in 360p, the problem is that the Dash formats don't play everywhere and where they play, the speed is throttled/rate limited, so playing YT with SkyTube is a nightmare for me, because barely anything plays unproblematic, if at all.

@gzsombor I'm tagging you just in case you haven't read this ticket or any of the other with complaints for the same exact thing and I hope you can fix it ASAP, because SkyTube is kind of unusable because of the recent stupid YT changes, but I don't have high hopes and IDK what to do.

I don't know if I should have opened a new issue....

@gzsombor

Is it possible to "bring back" 720p in SkyTube ?

As I see it now NewPipe (latest version)
can play videos in 720p without problems, (without using the new format, I think... ?)

"The same video in NewPipe plays in 720p, but in SkyTube at most in 360p."

"My old tablet lags in 1080p/new formats."
