Tampermonkey stops working in chrome every few hours

I am using Tampermonkey on chrome and every few hours, the extension is getting greyed out and is requireing a restart of the chrome browser to start working again. When greyed out, clicking on it is showing a small popup in place of the usual Tampermonkey popup and there is a circling thing that never stops.
Has anyone else faced this? This is leading to productivity drop to stop and restart chrome every few hours.
