Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
At present the progress of a task is only visible if the editable progress bar is displayed. This is usually not the case if the view provides a broad overview like in Kanban or compact view. Thats a good thing as you wouldnt want to edit the progress bar in such a view and the space can be used for other tasks. Unfortunately this also means that the progress is being hidden even though it is an important information for such overviews.
Describe the solution you'd like
Adding the progress to such compact task views could be done by using the background colour of each task as horizontal progress bar. E.g. in dark mode the background could be filled with a much lighter grey then it is now. This grey could be replaced by the present background grey from left to right with increasing progress.
Describe alternatives you've considered
The light grey could also be applied in an inverted manner: the more progress, the more light grey is shown. However, this would highlight resolved tasks more than unresolved tasks. I think that would be counter intuitive and distracts from the tasks that still need to be done.
