We need to update pyCSW to get latest changes (including at least fix geopython/pycsw@ac81aa8)

A new PR has been created to the existing branch for the pycsw 3.0.

from @gannebamm

GeoNode 5 shall be released end Q1 2025. I think Ahmad did a good job in making progress there and communicate those findings to upstream. The feature we wanted is to get proper datacite metadata downloads. Maybe we should just focus on that and wait for the upstream to implement the rest fully.

We have encountered an issue with the metadata download as a DublinCore, but the Datacite and ISO metadata reflects the contact roles properly.

Hi @vineetasharma105, apologies for getting back to you this late, but it was due to the holidays. I have tested it out and the DublinCore metadata downloads fine for me. Can you please share more details of the issue? Thank you very much.

Hi Ahmed,
No worries.

So please see the screenshot with the issue it stated when I downloaded the Dublic code metaata. The link to the dataset is :
https://geonode-demo.thuenen.de/catalogue/#/dataset/1

For the same dataset, I was able to download the ISO and Datacite metadata successfully.

I checked and I am facing the same issue on the thuenen-demo. But when I upload the same dataset to my local instance ( built with the default branch), I can successfully download all metadata (including the DublinCore). Do you face this issue for all datasets or just this specific dataset?

Only this dataset. Point to be noted here that this dataset has the most information in 'contact roles' .
I have now edited the metadata of this dataset (https://geonode-demo.thuenen.de/holisoils/catalogue/#/dataset/93) , which was previouly suceesfull in downloading the DCCore metadata. Now, after filling the contact roles, it states the same issue :

In my understaning, the issue appears when the mulitple contact roles are filled up.

@vineetasharma105 Thank you very much for your helpful hints. I new PR has been created at pycsw repo, #1070. It fixes the issue where multiple publishers are assigned for a dataset.
