  • Make sure the CLI output is clean and easy to follow.
  • Number the output, such that users can easily say: "My installation threw an error after step 14.5" if they happen to experience an error.
  • Hide the output that is irrelevant.
  • Give the users the option to make mute the complete output.
  • Output detailed information to the logs. (Lookup logging etiquette before you start.)
