[Search Input]: Empty Search List dropdown when no children specified

Bug Description

We are using a Search component defined without any SearchItemGroups or SearchItems as children, but I am seeing an empty list drop down as soon as I input any text. This can be seen happening in the first example on the documentation page as well.

Expected Behaviour

No dropdown should appear on text input if there are no SearchItem children defined. This was working prior to the recent version update.

1. Implement the Search component with no children
2. Enter any text in the input
3. See the empty dropdown appear
