As a part of the Blueprint, we include a corridor analysis that covers the 15 states and 2 U.S. Caribbean territories that make up the SECAS region. As with the other parts of the Blueprint, we regularly update the corridor analysis to incorporate new and improved data.<!--more--> You can [explore the 2025 Blueprint hubs and corridors layers](https://secas-fws.hub.arcgis.com/maps/fws::hubs-corridors-southeast-blueprint-2025/about) on our online SECAS Atlas.

This year we are taking some time to dig in and think about our corridor methods. Performing an analysis over such a large area presents some challenges with analysis time and hard drive space. We also have heard from you that you both want corridors that are responsive to significant landscape changes, and that don’t move around too much in each new update of the blueprint.

We want the Blueprint corridor layer to support your work as you deliver conservation to improve connectivity. We also want it to represent the areas you know are important for landscape connectivity. To help achieve that, we'd like to plug into and learn from state and locally led corridor efforts so that we can better incorporate partners' connectivity priorities into the Blueprint. We know that conservation practitioners actively working to improve connectivity on the ground have knowledge that we're not currently capturing. We’ve begun the process of incorporating statewide connectivity priorities in a few states (VA, GA, SC, NC, FL) and are currently working to improve this approach.
