API activity not monitored

Expected behaviour: Any activity under open-webui API keys associated with some user should show up in the usage report under that user's counts.

Actual behaviour: API activity does not show up in the dashboard, only the activity of the user done in the open-webui UI.

This issue has been raised multiple times, but I haven’t found a solution yet. As a workaround, you can modify OpenWebUI’s source code to reject all API requests except those from the admin.

Why close the issue then? Someone will just open it again, it's an obvious use case. "Reject all API requests except admin" is not a solution -- this tool's value is not related to managing access, it's about monitoring usage.

Better idea to reopen it, use this as a place for a discussion on how to implement, prototype a fix and eventually merge the new functionality.

Yeah... But as a function plugin designed for OpenWebUI, this monitor can only interact with the inlet and outlet functions, where the API requests are not provided.
