Hi,

As part of the Chrome Web Platform Security & Privacy review process, we have reviewed your intent to prototype. We were concerned that this feature would not generate a permission prompt for the user to confirm the association.

It would be our recommendation to show a permission prompt, scoped by origin.

Hello. Thank you for the review. The current design is for there to not be a permission prompt at the time the web app is installed, but instead for a permission prompt to be shown to the user at least once just before the web app is launch in response to a URL being activated. This prompt would be recurring unless the user saves a default option. This prompt can show both app information as well as display the app's origin.

Would that be sufficient?

Work on that user prompt is being tracked here: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1105257&hotlist_id=9704&sort=%20rank%20-ID
