As part of the Chrome Web Platform Security & Privacy review process, we have reviewed your intent to prototype. We were concerned that this feature would not generate a permission prompt for the user to confirm the association.
It would be our recommendation to show a permission prompt, scoped by origin.

Hello. Thank you for the review. The current design is for there to not be a permission prompt at the time the web app is installed, but instead for a permission prompt to be shown to the user at least once just before the web app is launch in response to a URL being activated. This prompt would be recurring unless the user saves a default option. This prompt can show both app information as well as display the app's origin.
