How to make Weblate not remove final newlines?

I'm sorry if I missed a similar topic, but I'm looking for a way to make Weblate stop removing final newlines.

Every time I delete unused strings in all translations, my IDE automatically adds a final newline (which is the intended behavior), and Weblate keeps removing it. This is a PR I received recently with 17 commits only to remove the final newline:

This behavior is format-specific in translate-toolkit (library which Weblate uses for handling files). It should be based on how the format is handled in the native tools. For this specific format, it should be consistent with Android Studio since translate/translate#3840

I edit files with Android Studio and it automatically adds a newline at the end of each line. Maybe because I'm using it on Linux? Almost all text editors work that way (at least on Linux), because that's the POSIX standard (which Android also depends on).

The POSIX standard says a line must always end with a newline character (that includes the last line of the file): https://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9699919799/basedefs/V1_chap03.html#tag_03_206

It's not XML-specific, all text files should be processed that way on Unix systems.

Also, from a Git point of view, "if the last line in a file doesn't end with a newline then addition of next line affects two lines instead of one. This also pollutes diff on multiple files, so reader may wonder what has changed in a line whereas no significant change has occurred".

It's not the end of the world if there is no newline at the end of the file, the Android system will still be able to read it, but it's a bit annoying to have the standard (or if you prefer, the developer choice) being overwritten by the translation toolkit while all the other files in the project ends with a new line (making it non-consistent).

translate/translate#5465 has been merged to address this, it will be part of the next translate-toolkit rejease.
