Using modbus with solaredge commission

I have a question, my Solareddge with setupapp PV is monitored by Solaredge.
Will activating modbus locally interfere with the communication of the inverter with Solaredge?
The installer said it would en void warranty, but I cannot find information on this

No, it won't void any warranty to enable modbus.

But the installer won't support you sending commands to the inverter, so you can leave that option off in the integration and not use commands.

Thanks! And will it not interfere with the communication between the inverter and the Solaredge server itself? Or does this not use modbus? I've seen modbus proxies being advised, but I'd rather not do that (very tedious to set up) if not needed.

No it doesn't interfere with SolarEdge monitoring.

I don't use a proxy on my systems.

A last thing: the Home assistant integration cannot find the inverter. Looking in the Solaredge modbus documentation, I read that you have to connect to the inverter within a minute or so, or else the connection will be refused.
Is this correct?

WiFi direct for setapp to change inverter settings to enable modbus has a timeout.

Modbus does not have a connection timeout. It will be enabled permanently.
